About hairback.shop

If you are here, you are probably worried about your hair. Maybe you noticed your part getting wider. Maybe you are pulling clumps of hair out of the shower drain after giving birth. Maybe your hair started thinning when you hit menopause and nothing has been the same since.

I built hairback.shop for one reason: women’s hair loss content online is mostly terrible.

Why this site exists

When I started researching women’s hair loss, I found three types of content:

  • Brand blogs — Nutrafol’s blog, Vegamour’s blog, Hers’s blog. All useful information, all with a clear bias toward selling you their specific product.
  • Generic medical sites — Healthline, WebMD, Mayo Clinic. Accurate but written for everyone, which means written for no one. They never quite answer the specific question you have.
  • Personal blogs — One woman’s story with one woman’s solution. Sometimes inspiring, rarely useful for figuring out what to do about your specific situation.

None of these gave me what I actually needed: research-based, brand-neutral, woman-specific information that respected my intelligence.

So I am building it.

Our approach

Every article on this site is researched from primary sources — peer-reviewed studies, dermatology textbooks, FDA documentation, and conversations with real women who have been through it. We do not paraphrase brand marketing. We do not recommend products we have not researched thoroughly. We tell you when a product probably will not work, even when we earn a commission on that product.

How we make money

Affiliate commissions. When you click a link on hairback.shop and buy a product, we earn a small percentage of the sale at no extra cost to you. We are transparent about this. We do NOT rank products by who pays us most, hide affiliate relationships, or recommend products we do not believe in.

Who we are for

Women dealing with any kind of hair thinning, shedding, or loss — including postpartum hair shedding, genetic pattern hair loss, menopause-related thinning, stress-induced shedding (telogen effluvium), PCOS-related hair loss, thyroid-related hair changes, and anyone who just wants their hair back.

What we are NOT

We are not doctors. We are not dermatologists. The articles on this site are educational — based on research, but not personalized medical advice. For your specific situation, see a board-certified dermatologist.
